Pros

-Employee discount is good but stuff is so expensive that I wouldn't buy anything - Costco roadshows: you sell outside of the store and theres more freedom to express yourself off the flywheel - easy job

Cons

-more autonomy to work independently at computer and ask for help if needed -feel micromanaged by Matt -Don’t feel challenged, work given anyone can do. Keep Busy work. -wish to be productive on my own terms -the work culture and environment do not alighn: I understand wanting to be prepared for whoever comes in but I feel less prepared starting at a wall all day then putting my mind somewhere. If we were able to use the company I-pad to buy a book on the kindle app, it would be with our own money, it wouldn’t interfere with the internet in case of bugs and it would look productive to a customer too, since it’s a company device. Or just be encouraged to do things we like like I’m artistic so if I could draw in my free time then when kids come in I could show them and it could be a way to relate. -I understand peter liked structure and rules but I think following them too far is actually damaging the work. I think it looks less professional trying to find a comfy spot leaning on the wall, hunching over than it does slightly sitting on the arm of the couch with my legs still touching the ground to be ready to stand up for a customer because you are waiting a long time for someone to come in. -not everyone wants to small talk for 8 hours to make time pass - wish there was more freedom on the fly wheel (company way to pitch it) cause i feel so robotic when i feel management watching me and expecting me to follow it. I think when i went off of the pattern of having to pitch at Costco people could connect with me as a sales person and the product better. Naturally features of the couch were brought up rather then throwing information at them.

Pros

It's a great company for if you want to move up the managerial ladder and it's not an exhaustive job.

Cons

My location has a terrible store manager and he's the problem not the company.
