Pros

Medical Insurance is good, Customer Appreciation is rewarding, don't have to spend the holidays with family, 10% employee discount, closed on Christmas Day.

Cons

Schedule rotates to often. Open a couple days then close a couple days during the same week and every week is different days off on a four week rotation. Let us open one week then close one week. I know we have to work a certain number of Saturday and Sunday but, why does the company want me to have a Monday Friday off one week, Wed Thru the next week and Tue Wed the next week. A week day is a week day, just pick two and let me have them for four weeks in a row then rotate the week day. At least I would know for a month what my schedule was, without having to carry a claendar with me 24/7.

Pros

They work with my schedule to work a second job. I have a wonderful immediate supervisor, her supervisor and store manager.

Cons

Part time emplyees do not receive sick pay or the same benefit package as full time. To be full time at Lowe's means you have to be available for every shift on every day so even if you worl full time hours and can't meet their scheduling demands you don't get full time benefits. new hires with less experience are brought in at higher pay rates than people that have worked there for several years. No matter how much vacation time you have you can only take 9 days off at a time including days off. Frequently days off are split and only one week-end a month is allowed off. This place is begging for a union.

Pros

pay is excellent as far as retail goes, good as a part-time job esp. if you're in school or have a full-time job will be promoted if managers like you, not necessarily if you're a hard worker great health, vision and dental benefits

Cons

would not recommend as a full-time job unless you have thick skin and are able to handle verbal abuse from both management and ocasionally customers not a good job if you're a pleasant person since it backfires on you at lowe's managers tend to not communicate with associates regarding changes taking place within the store be prepared to have all work not completed during the day workers to fall on you if you're closing managers and customers can be very rude and condescending you are very underappreciated if you're doing a good job unless you are a brown-noser
