Pros

Working with other motivated peers that really try to do a great job and help customers.

Cons

Store management is often not motivated to properly coach and council employees to achieve their maximum potential. Promotions are often not thought through, to consider "best fit" for a particular position. Others are not pushed to excell, as they are satisfied with their current status.

Pros

Lowe's values taking care of the customer so if you value that as well, you should enjoy the atmosphere. There are customers that will take advantage of that fact but overall you have the feeling that you can do the right thing and satisfy the customer without worrying about reprisal.

Cons

The hours for salaried employees are long. Retail management is an industry that seems to have this trait but during the spring and summer months the hours can be especially long. You also hear more about what wasn't done correctly or needs to change than your store's success.
