The top management has extensive experience and understands its role in shaping the company’s strategy. They focus on specialized areas rather than wasting time on broad or vague concepts. The company has everything needed to succeed and has a lot of potential.
One of its strengths is the flexibility it offers in working hours, giving employees a sense of freedom. However, this freedom is mostly in terms of schedule, not in the work itself. While the company appears to be an ideal place to work, there are some challenges.
There is little room for bringing in new ideas or initiating projects. This can feel frustrating, especially for experienced colleagues who are hired for their skills but are not able to fully use them. The company is not leveraging the full potential of its talented employees, unfortunately..
The majority of employees, especially new hires, are highly skilled. However, some long-term employees lack prior experience outside the company. This creates an artificial sense of productivity, as they often focus on many minor issues instead of bringing real value, with zero impact on the business.
Some managers use strategies to maintain their positions, such as assigning unrealistic deadlines that lead to inevitable mistakes, they can later highlight to management.
During my two years at Lucanet , I felt that my past experience was not used. The hiring process sets high expectations, but once inside, employees are mainly expected to follow instructions rather than contribute their own insights. This makes the work experience feel somewhat limited and frustrating.
Lucanet has almost all the ingredients of a great company, but to reach its potential, it needs to create a culture where employees can contribute more actively, toxicity or artificial productivity is detected before impacting negatively. Currently, the company operates within the concept: hire talented employees and tell them what to do. The top management should be there, to set up the strategy and direction, not defining initiatives.
