      Good culture, but will also nickel and dime you

      Pros

      AMAZING teammates. I've never met a company that lives their values more than Lucid. Be prepared for amazing co-workers that make it hard to leave.

      Cons

      Lucid is very frugal and will nickel and dime you. Historically, they'll say that they are "benchmarking salaries" against a normalization process they went through a 1.5 years ago. However they don't share any of that data with employees. If they're going to use it as guides, they should share the data anonymized. Lucid, you shouldn't pay people in identical roles, a 20k difference for the same title & role. Expect to fight for fair market value salaries. Additionally, Lucid has some weird personnel structuring going on.

      Good Company. Suffering Culture.

      Pros

      Lucid hires the best of the best. They've been able to attract talent that is innovative, hard-working, and generally fun to work with. They've mastered the art of marketing themselves as the "fun" start-up and utilize those perks to their advantage during salary negotiations knowing that prospects will take the pay cut for opportunity to work at a company that offers great culture and top-notch people. The quick list: Stocked kitchen (most of the time) Beautiful office and fun space 401k match Great benefits

      Cons

      As with many companies that are growing quickly, their hiring criteria isn't as stringent as it used to be. They're experiencing large turn-over of employees who have been there for 2+ years and the management they've brought in has brought a more staunch and conservative culture to the once thriving and innovative teams. Lucid is not a start-up anymore. With 500+ employees and counting, you're not going to experience the culture that once was at Lucid. If you're looking for a cool, quick-paced, innovative and flexible environment you've missed the boat here. The quick list: - Low pay (they say they use Radford averages, but I've gotten offers from other companies who also use Redford averages and the offers are 20% higher) - Growing so quickly employees get lost in the shuffle (no raises/promotions unless you say you've got another offer) - Not as flexible or innovative as the start-up it once was - High turn-over

      Appreciate your feedback. We want our employees to feel valued and respected and we take great measure to ensure we competitively compensate employees for their hard work. That includes those great benefits, equity and other pros you list, but it also includes constantly evaluating the industry to make sure our compensation, along with culture and product, are reasons why people are excited to join and grow with our company. I'm sorry this was your experience, but I'm glad to report that 95% of our employees say that Lucid is a great place to work.

      Ambitious, kind, and team focused

      Pros

      The people at Lucid are ambitious, kind, and team focused. As new people join Lucid I often hear them say how impressed they are with the caliber of people that work at Lucid. It is deep in the culture to be happy, work hard, and to help others when they ask for it. Because of that I've never been given the cold shoulder when I ask executives, managers, or individual contributors for help. They are always willing to put down what they are doing to help me.

      Cons

      The salary isn't the highest compared to most other tech companies out there.

One of the things I love about Lucid is the fact that our value "Teamwork Over Ego" isn't just a saying on the wall. It's engrained in the fiber of our company.
