Pros

Discount! The discount pretty much makes it bearable to work at this company. It's the only reason I've lasted this long.

Cons

Management is really bad. There is a lack of communication between the store managers to the supervisors so it's really hard to find out what is going on. As a supervisor, your expectations are way higher and you're accountable for a lot of things but store managers and the DM doesn't respect you at all. Also, really awful people to work with. You'll find really nice ones but you'll get overconfident people that know it all and thinks everyone else is incompetent. Company is changing. No more laid-back atmosphere that this company was founded on. It's a whole new Lucky- and the company name should've been changed too. People come in expecting old Lucky style and get all this new J.Crew/Banana Rep style. It's really unfortunate. With that said, DM and store managers are on your butt 24/7 about your numbers.

Pros

There's a really good employee discount... for now.

Cons

It wasn't until I left Lucky Brand that I remembered what it was like to be thanked for a job well done, or to be treated respectfully by senior management. What was once a great Company under founders Gene and Barry has deteriorated in the years since into a culture with little respect for its employees. For instances: Lucky does not consider Labor Day a paid holiday (it has only 4 now) and continues to blame everyone but the senior leadership for the Company's continued p&l failure (a failure big enough to sink all gains at the other Liz divisions). Lucky is not only out of touch with it's customers - going so far as to delete all criticism from them on its Facebook page - it's out of touch with its employees, and morale has never been lower.

Great Discount, few full-time opportunities

Pros

The discount is great (60%), and it's pretty easy work. The clothes are alright, and I was able to stock up on jeans for pretty cheap.

Cons

Only the store manager is allowed to get even close to full time hours, and the focus on sales per hour is ridiculous. The incentive to do better is a bigger discount on clothes, not commission or bonuses. The store is doing poorly because of the new direction of the line, not a lack of effort by employees.
