Very easy work if you have minimal knowledge. Laid back work environment (to a fault) Good diversity between co-workers

Cons

There is no real training provided, nor is there any clear direction given. Constantly told lies and misinformation. Supervisors have no training and are very poor, to the point of showing favortism and hurting the career advancement of other employees. Because I feel it is so important, let me put that the supervisors and management WILL LIE TO YOU constantly and without any sense of wrongdoing. Supervisors and managers are "yes (wo)men" to those above them and do NOT work for the team. There is a major problem with the "good ole boy" club throughout this company.

Pros

Lumen is mostly work from home, and the insurance is excellent. If you have a decent manager, the FTO works really well. There are some decent trainings available so you can find a job elsewhere.

Cons

You can hit every single thing they supposedly value in the "Lumen 8," but it won't matter. Reviews require most employees get "meets expectations," so any additional effort is wasted. There are no promotions EVER. Layoffs and restructuring are constant. They've adopted AI for as much as they can, so you will not have a human interaction with HR. Favoritism abounds, and if you are struggling to get responses from bad employees, nothing will be done except potentially retaliation if you've tried to talk to your manager about it. If you work hard, more work will be piled on you with no promotion or pay raise. Managers will steal your ideas, presenting them as their own.

A bad company filled with good people

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Industry leading setting with nigh infinite portability and coworkers who are knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

Leadership sees people as numbers only. Performance metrics are contradictory and nonsensical. Soulless, hyper corporate environment where the only clear objective is to minimize expense and maximize profit by any means necessary.
