      Pros

      Decent benefits regarding health, wellness, 401k More opportunities for growth within the technology organizations compared with Operations. Flexible Time Off, generally a work life balance is on the employee to decide, but the pace required of this industry will often require overtime, but this is the same for most large organizations within a competitive market. My philosophy is that any job is what YOU make of it. Morale is a bit low but some of that is due to mergers and acquisitions and some of it is self induced.

      Cons

      Career growth opportunities seem limited and take a long time. Pay is under the average for most positions, so negotiate your desired pay, right up front.

      Union negotiated Jobs have 80 hrs vacation 60 hrs demand and 5 occurrences for sick after 1st year. steady pay raises every 6 months and an annual inflation assessment/bonus, good life work balance if you can work around hours given to you, never have to take work home
