Pros

Everything is contingent on your manager. If your manager is great you’ll be happy. They can give you new projects and you can learn a lot. I was lucky that was the case for me. Flex Time off and flex Friday was good.

Cons

The company is going down the drain so I advise everyone to get a new job. They will always lay off their best employees which leaves the company with mediocre talent all competing against each other. Not healthy for anyone. Constant lay offs while hiring executives for a fortune. Kate seems to just wants to hang out with her Microsoft friends. Instead the layoffs are devastating people’s lives, specially as they offer an insulting severance as a way to avoid bad PR. Good company is you want to wake up everyday and worry if have a job or not.

Toxic HR Environment

Pros

They pay well and the work is exciting. The company is desperately trying to turn around so there is adrenaline pumping all the time.

Cons

HR is controlled by what has been called the 'mean girl network'! There are several deceitful and manipulative senior leaders in HR that will do anything to protect themselves. These senior HR leaders created a completely toxic HR environment that spread into the business. They covered for senior business leaders' lying and helped hide their poor performance. If they did/had done their job the company would be in better shape.

Dead End Company

Pros

Ability to work remote for most positions.

Cons

Misleading job descriptions where job postings never match to the actually job duties. This is a US corporation as a whole issue, designed to not have to pay people what they should get paid for the work they do, Terrible yearly review ranking for performance where each organization is directed that they can only give out a single Exceeds expectations, sometimes in organizations where there are 50 or more people. Thereby making exceptional performers leave the company. All the knowledge and expertise is gone, and the company is banking on artificially inflated customer numbers to reel in large money to keep them afloat. The current CEO is a repeat of the Qwest Nacchio days, doing the same thing. Executive pay is disgusting, all while every day people lose their jobs and people get to hear how sad it is to lose these people from leadership while they take home 1-2M a year salary and 5-14M bonuses, plus stocks.
