      Pros

      The people are great, the benefits are good and the office environment is comfortable.

      Cons

      Often people are siloed and not encouraged to grow or expand. Find opportunities to learn a new part of the business, technology or applications if you work there. The benefits are good but keep declining (pension, company match, vacation is now FlexTimeOff,...)

      Coworkers are fantastic. There's a lot of opportunity to learn about new and emerging technology.

      Cons

      Where do I start... As much as leadership talks about how CenturyLink is a customer focused organization they actually care very little about the customer at the end of the day. Micromanagement Almost no systems integration throughout the mergers No pay increases in years Eroding share prices Ever increasing quotas (this is pretty much par for the course in any sales org) Annual reductions in work force (it's just a matter of time before you're fired) Constant reduction in sales support staff (more and more admin work falls on shoulders of sales) The list goes on, but I'll stop here.

      Pros

      You will work a lot and experience a large ISP footprint. Very manual processes. Still uses templates and allows you to learn CLI. Great opportunities if you are not minority.

      Cons

      No cohesiveness. Hr and Compensation ran company. No growth and development. Promotions never occur for peer hispanicsb blacks and asians. [include all women] Ive seen really talented ppl not get promoted. Even hispanic individuals in higher positions are paid less than non minority peers. DON'T ASK FOR PAY TRANSPARENCY OR SALARY RANGES. Unwritten policies regarding internal promotions
