Great Benefits - Good Pay - But Excessive time demands on exempt employees

The company has great benefits and pay relatively good.

Cons

Exempt employees had no work life balance. Expectations set by others not always understanding full scope of the job or demands.

No raise in 5 years, laying off all the talent

Pros

No problems with WFH, High pay to start. Decent work/life balance.

Cons

Good ideas get implemented about 75% of the way then stop, making them useless and a complete waste of money. Now our stock is down and they are off-shoring everything to India cutting all the best people in the US. No one knows how to fix what we have.

Lots of work to do Company is adding engineering staff for the first time in over a decade Office Environment is healthy Time off is encouraged Remote work options Inclusive teams and management Many managers are more than happy to talk about issues and problems, and help find solutions Lots of opportunities to move around as they have lots of different roles

Cons

Uneven work loads for top performers While there are lots of opportunities not all of them are going to advance your career as many are lateral moves. Sometimes demanded timeframes are not feasible, and you have to deliver that message to upper management and give detailed reasons Raises are hard to come by so fight for what you are worth up front, and in that same vein, you can make more as a contractor depending on the role Work life balance is not great if you are in a leadership role or are a top performer
