      Love the variety and the peole

      Having split from JDSU a year ago, we're kind of in a bit of a start up environment and still getting systems up to speed, but we're getting there!

      Terrible management - Finance

      Pros

      clean building and decent benefits. Some people are really nice to work with. Good products and market. Location is okay.

      Cons

      Terrible management. Always fire drill. You'll get no sense of trust from CFO and directors. Just terrible, worst place to work.

      Spinning off from JDSU and becoming a standalone public company involved a tremendous amount of work for many functions, Finance among them. I am sure some days it did feel like a fire drill. We have been focused on improving our systems and processes for simplicity and efficiency.

      Good product, hard working employees, weak IT organization

      Good product with hard working employees.

      Cons

      Always in fire drill mode. Executive management team seem to like the fire drill culture. IT organization was weak. Didn't know what they were doing, nor had guidance or strong leaders.

      This has been both a challenging and exciting time for Lumentum as we successfully executed a substantial spin-off from JDSU. In particular this was a tremendous job for many operational functions including IT. As we move forward we definitely see IT improving in regards to its stability and effectiveness, which is a welcome change to the more difficult mode following the spin-off.
