Pros

Great stepping stone into healthcare.

Cons

Management could be aggressive, RN's thought they were better than the PCT's. Called racial slurs by patients and Charge RN did nothing about the behaviors of the patients.

We have a zero tolerance policy for violence and there is an established protocol for employees to contact our security office for assistance if they do not feel safe. We strive to become a more diverse and inclusive organization through education, providing opportunity and open dialogue across the health system. Good benefits and opportunities to interact with and give back to community

Compensation less than offered at other locations, they claim because the organization is "not for profit".

Pros

Closer commute and not a lot of traffic.

Cons

I am a veteran and had worked and had worked all along under the umbrella of the Department of Defense. I noticed that private sector or at least where I work here at AAMC that leadership does not really care about their subordinates. Disrespect and arrogance towards subordinates are common practice. Micromanagement also is a common practice which should be a thing of the past. It is creating an unhealthy work environment. So much power struggle is noticeable amongst leaders. As a veteran and DoD is concern in my experience, it is all about "SOLDIERING" which means taking care of the subordinates at all cost.
