Pros

My experience at Luna has been positive. They value their employees and create team-building opportunities to encourage a supportive environment. Leadership is respectful and involves the employees in developing new ideas. The fun thing about a startup is the creative collaboration and working as a team for success.

Cons

Start-up life is busy. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to impact growth and create change you will enjoy your work!

Pros

I had nice co-workers that I enjoyed working with

Cons

This isn’t a recruiter job at all, but more of an admin job. All recruiters are physical therapists and have never recruited before. The company know nothing about recruiting the right way and doesn’t care to learn. They will fill your day with pointless zooms doing things like listening to everyone share what their spirit animal or what song they want on repeat on a desert island. Like what in the world??? They will have you do numerous pointless tasks throughout the day. If someone applied who “thinks” they might move to an area in which you are hiring a year from now the company will force you to still speak with them because the company feels like they are a good lead for the future. Like what in the world are these people thinking, seriously? They want you to grab as many email addresses off of LinkedIn as possible. You are then supposed to add them to daily automated email & text sequences in which they didn’t opt-in to so they can spam the crap out of them. Interviews get added to your calendar automatically of people who either aren’t qualified or aren’t currently living in a territory in which you are hiring. None of this is how you hire. I offered to show them ways to get flooded with only candidates that are interested, qualified, and live in an open territory. They aren’t open to new ideas and could careless if they get hired or not. Their only goal is to build a database of people to harass over and over again. Recruiting the way that I normally do things I could hire 10 times the people that all 6 of their recruiters combined hire. Instead, they want you do things the way that their “recruiters” do things which is not how you recruit at all. Did I mention that all their “recruiters” are actually physical therapists and NOT recruiters? However, they don’t want to listen. If you want to waste your days doing pointless zooms, pointless tasks, harassing the same people over and over that the company has already been harassing for over a year then maybe you might like this job. I was told during the interview that they don’t micromanage and this is by far the most micromanaged company I have ever seen. Every single thing you do is micromanaged. They don’t allow people to actually work and be productive. They should be focused on numbers. Instead, they worry too much about pointless, tedious tasks. These tasks literally have no purpose than to micromanage. If you are a real recruiter such as myself that normally makes 30-40k/month recruiting bc you know what you are doing then this is not the place for you!!!! Big waste of time. Guess this is why they have to hire outside agencies to recruit for them bc their recruiting team is pointless!!!

Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry it didn't work out with you. Luna is committed to hiring exceptional therapists who provide the highest quality care to patients. Our experienced recruiters take a personalized approach to source and interview top notch candidates that comprise the thousands of PTs across 50 markets in our Therapist Network. We are proud to be a physical therapy company with a strong therapist presence from founders, to the sales and clinical teams to recruiters. What better way to successfully grow a healthcare-tech company focused on therapists and patients than valuing the input and knowledge of other clinicians. While our substantial growth is a result of cross-functional work, our recruiters are the cornerstone of growing our platform of exceptional providers. Their strategic growth plan and processes are paving the way towards making a huge positive impact in people’s health. Working with Luna is more than just a job. Our employees are passionate about having an extraordinary experience and playing a pivotal role in transforming the healthcare industry. We wish you the best!

Pros

Luna is a true startup making a difference in the healthcare space using technology and good people. The product is best in class and the care is far superior than that of traditional models. They move fast and build. Leadership is smart and capable and genuinely wants everyone to succeed. They know that the success of the company requires success at an individual level.

Cons

As a startup you have to believe in yourself and the company. You might be able to earn more base at another company but this is offset by the back end potential and opportunity in an emerging health-tech space. Being in healthcare the benefits could be better.
