Pros

Luna is a super fast moving startup with an incredibly talented team. I am constantly energized by our customers and our potential to make a huge impact in outpatient healthcare!!

Cons

- The location is alright but the food choices are limited since it's not in walking distance from many places. - The industry moves over ten times slower than a startup which is extremely painful at times when there are external dependencies - Echoing another review -- soooo much to do, and not a whole lot of time to do it

Pros

Flexibility of work, patients appreciate mobile care

Cons

Poor pay, buggy and clunky app that rarely works efficiently, no calendar integration, harassment over billing, pressure to change patient treatment sessions, no support to provide treatment that is in the patient’s best interest, AI wizard in chat feature is useless and it is lengthy and near-impossible to get help from admin staff. I would not be surprised if Luna undergoes a massive audit and potential disciplinary action soon based on their billing practices and harassment of therapists. It is clear that the majority of their therapists are billing dishonestly in order to avoid getting their charts constantly returned to them, and in order to actually get paid in a timely manner. It is very unlikely this “startup” will “take off” considering they entered an industry that is already failing under declining insurance reimbursement, and now are attempting to squeeze every last dollar out of their hard working providers.

Hi there, and thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to address some of your concerns directly. On clinical documentation and billing: our standards are set by therapists, for therapists to exceed industry norms and ensure patients receive safe, effective, and medically necessary care. We want to be clear though: Luna does not and will not “harass” therapists. Our documentation review process is designed to support providers, reduce claim denials, and ensure timely, accurate payment. Importantly, therapists always retain full control of their notes, with final approval and signature on every chart. If this is not occuring, please contact our compliance hotline which is anonymous at (800) 928-0084 or online at report.complyline.com (organization pin is 122717). Many of the admin functions mentioned are what allow therapists to focus on care rather than carrying those burdens themselves. If we scaled those back, frustrations like a “buggy or clunky" app wouldn’t improve — they’d grow. :( You might also be suggesting a potential à la carte model, where therapists could choose the level of support they want. That’s a thoughtful idea and something for us to explore in the future! In the meantime, we remain committed to refining the balance between compensation, support, and compliance so therapists can focus not only on their patients, but also on their own work life balance ; avoiding the burnout that is far too common in this industry. We recognize your concerns. As you noted, we entered an industry facing declining reimbursements, and our mission has always been to better support healthcare and physical therapists in that environment. We regret that this was not your experience, and we thank you for sharing your valuable feedback.

Energizing, mission-driven work with smart, kind people

Pros

Luna is one of those rare places where the mission actually shows up in the day-to-day work. It’s fast-paced and ambitious, but never chaotic or ego-driven. People care about what they’re building, and more importantly, who it helps. Cross-functional collaboration is strong—you’ll regularly interact with product, ops, clinical, and exec teams. There's a real appetite for data-driven thinking and big-picture strategy. Leadership is sharp but approachable. I’ve grown more here in a year than I did in three at my last job. Also: zero tolerance for jerks, which is refreshing.

Cons

It’s a startup, so pace and ambiguity are part of the deal. Not the place for folks who need a fully built playbook or 9-to-5 vibes. But if you like solving messy problems and making things better, you’ll be into it.
