      IT has become a "sweat shop"

      Pros

      Worked there for several years, great company, great people....lots of talents. I always had great performance reviews, I worked hard and loved my job.

      Cons

      IT Management changed and brought in HP's culture. Rules with an iron fist and threatens staff that their job is on the line. People are stressed and some are close to having a nervous breakdown. CEO knows that there is a problem but nothing is done as long as IT keeps on producing.

      Good work life balance. lots of opportunities for growth and development with new hire rotational programs.

      plant documentation is sketchy and outdated, not much communication between plants

      Pros

      Competitive or above average salaries and benefits for long time employees. Not necessarily those who may have joined recently given the job market. Many nice, competent people.

      Cons

      It is a great place to work if you have a good boss/group. Because management accountability is top down/there are really no bottom up reviews, turnover can be high in some teams due to poor leadership/behavior.
