Industry leader. Great team to work with in operations. Very friendly and communicate well. Safe environment. Competitive pay relative to other sites in the area.

Cons

No pension or retiree medical.

Pros

Good pay, not as good as it used to be, but not bad....

Cons

Everything else. Benefits have been slashed over the years. Management seems to favor those who wear their brown noses with pride. You are appreciated by how well you keep your bosses looking good to their bosses instead of actually knowing how to do your job. They don't seem to care about their people.

Pros

Hard working, highly educated, high caliber workforce. Extreme commitment to Safety. Strong focus on efficiency and profitability, which is great due to ESOP. Strong in all markets it participates in. Very interesting work. Flat to falling on costs year to year, ensures lean staffing in strong economies and weak economies, so minimal layoffs in weak economy. (bankruptcy in excepted.) New CEO in 1/15 is a breath of fresh air!

Cons

High turnover, kind of a sweat shop, forced ranking often moves people at the top years before to out the bottom a few years later even though no chnage in performance, especially in high performing teams. As a manager, if you do a superior job recruiting high caliber team members, you are eventually penalized by having to force rank strong performers to below average to satisfy "the Curve". Also, when problems occurr, the tendency is to blame people, not systems or policies. Employees feel insecuree about continued employment.
