Pros

Scattered amongst the company are some mid to junior-level employees who work hard and are collaborative, but this is far and few between. They do most of the heavy lifting for the company and aren't valued and compensated fairly.

Cons

Toxic and highly political environment. Don't come here if you want to make impact, develop your skills or are striving to be in an equalized, driven environment. Things move slowly / in fact, they're stagnant other than the high turnover and reorganization. If you're not at the VP level and want to drive for change, you won't be getting anything done. Leadership is inexperienced. Due to lack of knowledge and experience, leadership team uses politics to get ahead and make terrible decisions, use threats and fear to manage and motivate teams and turn to tactics such as monitoring employee slack conversations and email to manage down instead of focusing on improvement and employee development. THERE IS NO CAREER GROWTH AT LYRIC. Real estate is a giant flop with minimal deals closed so growth is stagnant. This company is broken in every way possible across pipeline growth and management through launch and ongoing operations. Mass and unexplained firing of employees with zero communication to current employees contributing to low morale, lack of job security and unproductive company time discussing "what happened to XYZ!?" High office manager turnover, so employees were forced to work in an office that often runs out of drinking water (!!!!), surrounded with fruit flies and various pests, no office furniture, dirty conference rooms and work spaces. You can't even wash your own dishes sometimes because the sink is full and so is the dishwasher. This place is an embarrassment and I'm confused as to how this is acceptable.

Pros

A promising business model that offers a unique user experience. Leaders do a great job involving the most junior members in the decision making process. Good work environment - People are friendly and willing to help. The work/life balance is good, they respect your time after you've left the office.

Cons

Being part of an emerging industry means that we face bumps along the road.

Pros

If you want to work an environment that will push you to do your best work, join Lyric. It all starts with the co-founders. They not only care about building an amazing product and brand, they also care about building an amazing team and culture. We are building a lot, so you'll never have a dull moment here. We are building innovative software products -- from dynamic pricing algorithms to remote hospitality tools -- and we are designing a whole new category in the travel industry. We have literally created a new inventory type for the modern traveler called the Creative Suite. I have had the good fortune of being here since nearly the start, and I am just so blown away by the trajectory of this company. Be prepared to hustle, to be inspired, to work alongside top talent, and to really take pride in your work. Also, there are some great work perks, like an education stipend and a fitness stipend. I highly recommend working here, and this is coming from someone who has been in-house at other startups, who has worked with startups from the agency side, and who has seen startups from the VC perspective. This is a special place.

Cons

You have to be a self-starter sometimes. We are tackling a lot. But, to me, that's ultimately an asset.
