The leadership team was bad.

managers are abusive towards employees, they have huge egos yet there product is crawling with bugs and pretty usieless on the few occasions it doesn't completely crash. if you look at any marketing materials or demos its filled with #bigdata #digital #transformation #knowledge #graph etc. but I assure you it does none of those things. the best and brightess engineers at Maana wrote there own database which has unique features such as deleting random data on reads. It usually crashes with anything over a few megabytes (im not kidding, i get nervous anytime my a csv has over a few hundred rows in it and it just couldnt handle it). they wrap that janke database in a graphql api and call it next generation aritifical intelligence. im not kidding, zero exaggeration this is what they spent over $50 million developing.
