      Stay away from AR/billing dept

      Pros

      You get a paycheck and some are paid quite well.

      Cons

      Management hires friends & family over and over. Lays off a handful of people due to “restructuring” only to replace with the buddy of a manager. Nepotism runs rampant with no oversight. Favoritism is also a huge and glaring problem but, HR actively ignored complaints & valid concerns. Some in the department get to come and go as they please (and WFH) while others are denied a request for a single day off. Raises are pathetic and you just can’t get expect any type of bonus (not even a lousy $100 taxed gift card at Christmas like previous years) or decent pay increase unless you become close with the management team. It’s disheartening and demoralizing.

      Free coffee It's a paycheck The particular location in Stafford, VA means you don't have to drive into DC

      Cons

      The benefits and compensation are average at best Great work is not appreciated nor rewarded as one would expect. As a matter of fact, the company finds every excuse in the fine print to not reward you The company and management genuinely does not care about you The company has a very difficult time attracting top talent. If you want to work among smart people that will also make you better, this is not the place Career opportunities are not clear at all. Getting a PMP and becoming a Program Manager seems to be the only path for advancement

      No pros. Horrible company and practices.

      Cons

      I was treated horribly by Mantech. I was hired by one manager and then was fired by other for no good reason. I was fired for disagreeing with him. He said I was disrespectful and instead of HR even asking for my version of events or giving me a warning, I was let go. They totally humiliated me. I have never been fired before and have went onto better companies. Be very wary of this company and avoid them at all costs.
