Pros
MGAC was one of my first "real" jobs. The people I worked with were incredibly smart and passionate about what they did and served as good mentors. I started out not knowing a thing about project management to discovering it was something that truly interested me. Company perks are awesome; great social gatherings such as happy hours, luncheons, holiday parties and yearly company conferences...there's always free food somewhere! My co-workers were people I actually enjoyed seeing and talking to everyday. In the last year I worked here, the company was working really hard to gain more recognition in the industries and totally transforming itself.
Cons
A lot of changes started happening overnight and veteran workers didn't seem too happy about them. Since it is a rather small office, people can get rather cliquey and news travels quick, whether it be good or bad. I felt like it was difficult to advance even if you proved yourself and communicated with supervisors about wanting a change. I wanted to give more to the company and my team but felt like I was being held back. HR was a complete mess in my opinion. I felt they were too busy recruiting so many people who would only last a couple months and didn't focus enough on their current employees.
