Pros

- Meaningful work - Good work life balance - Best benefits I’ve seen (other than bonuses) - Co-workers (absent upper management and most of HR) are incredible - Lot of free meals - Stable career (although recently this has been questioned)

Cons

- CEO is apparently a lifetime appointment here so nothing changes - CEO invents programs to drive nepotism - Upper management and HR (mostly) is non-existent to the rank and file - C-Suite is very old school in way of thinking and what they expect from their employees: Example 1: Could only wear jeans to work on Friday until 2020 if you donated to make a wish. Almost entirely because MISO executives were on the board at make a wish. Execs then tried to sell being able to wear jeans as a way of trying to show how flexible the new return to office was. Example 2: Executives pushed for mandatory return to office way before anyone else (May 2021) and then only relented because of huge attrition. Now back at 4 days/week and only a matter of time before it’s 5 days. To make matters worse MISO was trying for an award of best places to work in Indiana in which they asked employees to vote on. Right after MISO was named best place to work MISO went to mandatory Tues-Thurs in the office… nice timing. - Very political if you want to advance - Worked there for over 10 years and heard from HR once - Low salary growth
