Pros

Good health insurance and benefits, courtesy of MIT Remote work was convenient

Cons

Accountability issues - nobody seems to care what gets done and when it happens Hostile work environment - managers act like they’re part of a high school clique Lack of communication- decisions are made in a black box, and no explanations are provided

Pros

Benefits, affiliation with university is very good. Salary and 401(k), with excellent time off

Cons

Hard to keep good, educated talent. Simple decisions seem to disappear into a 'black hole'. Most employees have no comparison of how other organizations work; tunnel vision. Time is spent on the 80% of issues that should take 20% of its energy

Way into MIT High levels of Autonomy

Cons

Completely incapable upper management, CEO is a fool, VPs are highly corrupt, HR tells colleagues about your meetings, HIPPA and ADA non-compliance, low pay, no career advancement
