Pros

Intellectually, the work at MIT and collaborative institutes such as the Broad or MGH are unparalleled. The science that occurs at MIT is sci-fi come to life and the professors have some of the most innovative, out-of-the-box approaches I've ever encountered.

Cons

The culture of MIT is extremely high stress and work-a-holism. While the peer competitiveness is much lower than you would expect at an institution of this caliber, there is great potential to feel depressed and socially isolated.

People are very asocial - as in won't have normal conversations with you - many do not have basic social skills Very poorly managed Salary was terrible and had to fight for every penny Way worse on every level than Harvard
