      Pros

      Decent pay relative to other industries (often underpaid versus alternative options). Very calm work life balance. Flexible work schedule. Access to decent compute and other resources.

      Cons

      The company isn’t set up well to move quickly to amplify impact. Very very difficult to ship products due to bureaucracy.

      everyone I've worked with is amazing

      Cons

      government contracting in general is a bad place to be right now. Hopefully things settle down in the future but a lot of MITRE-ites are looking elsewhere.
