Pros

Amazing workforce who are talented, intelligent and care about the work that they do.

Cons

Policies that kill employee morale (return to office, enforced by badge swipe data). C-suite and senior leadership who are disconnected from ground level employees, make poor decisions regarding business spending, and are tone deaf to employee perceptions of their lack of leadership (e.g. employee benefits were cut even while senior bonuses were paid, and first class travel was allowed for execs).

Pros

Good work, good people for the most part, good resources for collaboration and research.

Cons

Executive leadership has been about style over substance for several years. Can't wait for a new regime. Also, seem focused on replacing internal tools with newer "big name" products that don't work as well. The amount of inefficiencies self imposed keeps getting worse.

RTO - last gasp of a failed, lame duck CEO

Pros

Important, impactful work in support of warfighters and working alongside top caliber co-workers and first-line managers. Good salary and 401K, but nothing stellar.

Cons

Truly the worst executive leadership team out there. The disgraced CEO is retiring, but taking 11 months to do so when he should have been fired for running morale, financials, and respect of sponsors into the ground. FAR TOO MANY NEW EXECUTIVES at MITRE who don't listen to employees. Eroding benefits. Civic time reduced by 80%. Leave reduced. No sick days. No funding available for professional development. Secret layoffs. Draconian return-to-office policy for company that was highly productive working remotely. Corporate surveys show consistent steady decline in morale and confidence of leadership. Nobody listening at the top.
