Pros

The work-life balance was genuinely good, and the remote work flexibility was a real benefit. If you're looking for a job where you can maintain healthy boundaries and work from home, that aspect delivered.

Cons

The leadership instability was concerning. Over five years, I had five different supervisors, three department heads, and two CEOs. This constant turnover made it difficult to build meaningful mentor relationships or maintain any consistency in direction and expectations. Despite listing career growth as a goal in every annual review, I received zero guidance, resources, or clear path forward. There was no investment in professional development, and my attempts to advance were met with silence rather than support. The way my tenure ended speaks volumes: I was laid off on my exact five-year anniversary with no explanation provided. After half a decade of service, the lack of communication or clarity around the decision felt particularly impersonal.

Pros

Competitive starting pay and retirement match. good mission (in theory). Great work life balance.

Cons

Lost a lot of respect for the company during the four years I worked there. Not much room for growth or change in salary. Everyone (management/ leadership) was better at making the work sound more important than actually doing important, long lasting, impactful work. But that’s often just consulting I suppose.
