Pros

Autonomy to get your job done. Definitely no micromanagement here! Reasonable work schedule. Most individuals (at the Austin location) get their own offices. Fully paid benefits and matched 401k (up to 4%). Family type mentality. Transparency about company performance and future plans. Likely the best place I've worked in my adult career.

Cons

Some of the software can be boring or very niche, so if you're in sales or marketing, that can be tough at times - but still bearable.

My time at MLC Cad was full of disappointment.

Pros

Family run business, so it is very laid back in terms of environment. Also, since they are local they take great care of their customers. They also have some of the most knowledgeable engineers in the CAD/CAM industry.

Cons

There is no team dynamic whatsoever and very little support from managers. Definitely not a good place to work for anyone new to the industry. Their sales techniques are very outdated and the benefits are mediocre for the industry. Many long time employees are quitting from frustrations with the company and an environment that treats them poorly.

A great place to be

Pros

Pay is great and in many roles under your control with revenue sharing and bonus opportunities. Lots of autonomy, common sense guidelines, and a culture of performance. Growing company, family oriented.

Cons

Some positions travel a decent amount, some locations you may work alone if you aren't in a big office, expectations are high but achievable.
