Pros
I left MRE Consulting recently after spending the past seven years there in a Business Analyst/Project Manager capacity. MRE offered me consulting experience in industries and technologies that I had never been exposed to, and it has allowed me to become a better professional as a result. I can leverage that experience in future endeavors. I had continual access, support, and guidance from resources at all levels to help advance my growth as a contributing employee and professional. I felt the quality and trajectory of my experience there was always in my control. Ultimately, the most important thing in a work environment is trust and transparency, and I always felt MRE treated their employees in a fair and honest manner.
Cons
Consulting in any industry or environment is not an easy or predictable experience. It will always be what you are willing to put into it. There will be learning curves, long hours, and high expectations, but if you are willing to accept and succeed with this mindset, it will be a positive and rewarding experience.
