Pros

Worked independently. Good compensation for the type of work I was doing. Able to work from home during inclement weather. Flex scheduling for claims dept.

Cons

Poor communication in the claims dept as well as from dept to dept about what protocols were and how they were followed. 1:1 manager meetings never happened. If you didn't fit in with the "clique" you didn't last long and don't upset the wrong people! The wrong people had way too much influence on a lot of different things, from "temp" new hires being let go within a few days if they gave co workers a bad impression on day 1 to no consequences when found doing things that others would be terminated for, FAVORITISM like no place else I've ever seen!

I feel like a lot of these reviews are fake.

Pros

Mtm is a wonderful place to work, for about 6 months and then everything starts to become absolutely ridiculous.

Cons

They will have you work above your pay grade, train you to do the work of other departments, and you will never see a raise. To top it off, WI CCRs make 18/hr, while most reps make 15. I know there is a whole cost of living thing but no, that's just wrong. You will be severely verbally abused by members. People expect that in customer service but not like this. They will wish death on your children, you, your entire family. Every day someone will tell you that they're going to report you because dispatch doesn't know how to do their job and set them with vendors outside of their area. Turn backs happen many times a day and members are always angry, rightfully so, that their ride didn't show up. The kicker for me was that I had received a horrible, horrible call. This person had said such vile and horrifying things to me that I had to transfer the call to ORC and ask them to take over. I informed my sup and she stated it was part of the job. I do believe that they will be losing their contract with Florida soon and it's too bad because I was told we can't afford to lose it. I don't see much of a future with this company. Don't waste your time unless you're looking for a job until you find something better. You will be abused by members, and ignored by sups.

Pros

Onboard Training was good in classroom.

Cons

Old systems and software that have a lot of glitches. Everything done with function keys; no mouse. Trainers and others try to pump you up about career advancement but I believe it is more of who you know. There were 2 in my training class (only there for the first two weeks for orientation and system background) that were hired into positions that should have been promotions for current employees. During breaks and classroom visits, I saw that they were friends with the "right" people. The jobs were not given due to their experience. I also know a person who was hired in as a supervisor after being fired from a company where we both previously worked. Another con is that you do not get holiday pay or benefits until you've been there 3 months. That would have been Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's for my class. You also get your birthday as a holiday but only after 3 months. Insurance does not start until your 3rd month. I guess because there is such a huge turnover MTM decided they can save a lot of money by using the 3 month rule. They hire work from home but I don't think it is a good idea to send somebody home to work with only classroom training. Sets you up for failure. If you do work from home, you have to provide all your own equipment.
