Pros

Paycheck, making clients happy (the best that you can)

Cons

Regional management has no clue how a branch runs. We are relying on slow, malfunctioning kiosks. We are short staffed, it is only going to get worse. I am yelled at everyday by a client. My managers are stressed- guess who they take their anger out on? I love the response on here to the Relationship Banker who was on the teller line (due to lack of staff)-"...talk to your manager about your career aspirations." What about doing the job this person was actually hired to do? When you have a line full of clients and kiosks that are slow (which not all clients can use) your "aspirations" go out the window. I cannot tell you how stressful this is. Our sales goals stay the same. I cannot give each client the attention they deserve with no staff. It was said they will lose tellers as they quit/retire etc. That's great- what is in place to help clients when they leave? I see this everyday. Please don't tell me to talk my manager-there is no use. This person is under so much stress, they can't handle the stress of another. Thank you so much for creating this environment!

Pros

Very few but for 'junior' staff the ability to use client contacts/relationships into next role. A very small number of' knowledgeable and friendly staff' who make the place mildly tolerably.

Cons

Do not be mis-lead by the name. This is a broker/boiler-room 'hiding' behind the Mitsubishi name for some creditably. Whilst it can't be denied that they have some high profile clients who 'value' the service and it is a good stepping stone for sales people looking to move from Bloomberg to a career in sell-side sales, the single biggest issue with the company is Management and specifically the CEO. Things like, minimum number of minutes for being on the phone and performance league tables do nothing to dispel the 'call-centre/boiler-room' vibe. All the comments about the CEO and his interview style on Glassdoor are true and if anything do not give a clear indication of just how bad this guy is. If he was in any other institution where he was not the top dog he would have been found out and thrown out within 5 minutes. The atmosphere in the firm is toxic as he has created an atmosphere of fear, and from speaking to staff who have been at the firm for various lengths of time, it seems its the same story if you have been there 6mths or 10yrs years. The Glassdoor reviews are very accurate and I only wish I had discovered, and read, the reviews before I had accepted the opportunity to interview there- let alone work there. AVOID!!

Pros

Business growing rapidly, exciting place to work Bank has been transforming from a slow and conservative business to one that is stressing modernization and change Senior management very approachable and employees are encouraged to speak up Questioning the status quo is emphasized

Cons

Some staff are resistant to change A lot of time-consuming paperwork, approvals and processes, but I get the sense that management is trying to move away from that
