Compared to 4 other financial institutions for which I worked, MUFG/Union Bank was a stand out when it came to values, integrity and a true focus on diversity. Generally, leaders were engaged and focused on doing right by their customer, whereas in other organizations, the focus was VERY much on sales and profit regardless of customer or employee abuse. In my 20 year career, MUFG/UB was by far the best company I worked for because of the types of leaders they promote.

Cons

Complex infrastructure that can be difficult to navigate. They restructured frequently which was frustrating but also probably necessary due to too much bureaucracy.

Nice people, good pay, average benefits.

Cons

Everything else! They completely destroyed a rich and wonderful company with a long standing legacy by giving the helm to new upper management. Most employees are miserable and just hanging on by thread especially when they are always worried about having a job. Upper management is handing out director level positions to people who have no management skills.

Pay and yearly bonus was very good.

Cons

The place was a mess when I worked there. I had 5 different managers in 2.5 years. The place is run by fools, on both the MUFG and Union Bank sides.
