      Pros

      Pay has been pretty good, and still some very great people. Benefits, although shrinking are still on par with large corps.

      Cons

      Continuous cutting of rank and file,so that Executives and Tokyo can make greater and greater profit have destroyed a once proud heritage of Honesty, Integrity and Respect. NY City senior mgmt is making decisions which will gut the company, cutting high performers who based on personality or selecting younger (all cuts have been 50's and 60's) less pay employees.

      Pros

      Talented, creative team members in bank - both mid level leaders and individual contributors. Ability to grow into new roles. Good compensation with performance - both salary and incentive. Historically invested in training (but much of training staff has now been let go).

      Cons

      Extreme cost cutting and frequent reorganizations causing disruption for employees as well as clients. Staggered layoffs continue at all levels after starting several years ago. Some are related to deeper integration of Union Bank subsidiary into MUFG Americas, but many are simply cost-cutting. Lack of employee recognition program.

      Pros

      Salaries are competitive, colleagues are mature, seasoned professionals. Work from home and distributed workplace options.

      Cons

      Absolutely chaotic, nonsensical, confusing, impossible work environment. The bank has gone through so many changes that it cannot keep track and senior executives of business units are completely unaligned. No budget or sourcing strategy inside business units. No data aggregation on historical spend. Absolutely opaque workstreams. Hostile work environment with abusive management styles.
