Pros

Work Life Balance, Decent Pay

Cons

This place is currently being run by people who have no management experience or skills or interest to do the right thing whatsoever. Unqualified and undeserving individuals who are a redundant work function are promoted to people management positions because they are not able to hire outside talent anymore due to freezes and because they have been with the bank warming seats for years without any significant job contributions. Risk and Security groups and managers should have a minimum requirement for college degree and relavent certifications, both of which are not looked into here and this will bite them in the future. Good Riddance. Most unprofessional work environment i have been exposed to and i would never recommend anyone to work here.

Pros

Decent salary not that great .

Cons

No proper structure. No proper training. They rely on their employees to surf through a 198 page document every time you need an answer. Our direct reports don't have clear answers or solutions for their analyst. Not to mention their response during the peak of the pandemic was nothing and embarrassing. We received a mask and a mug through the mail. Way to show your employees support through COVID. From being with the company I've had about 3 people leave my team. The specific line of defenses team rather have contractors and hope they can fend for themselves then grow and develop talented individuals to be successful. there is no pros of working here. I would stay far away from this establishment and specifically the line of defenses team. Leadership gives generic corporate answers when time comes to answer and provide solutions. Trainings are very dull and not effective

Pros

I’ve been employed at this company for more than 3 years. I had my doubts about executive leadership at first, but have really respected how they handled the pandemic. Work/life balance is incredible, they gave every employee up to $150 for their home office expenses, and understand that working from home with a wife and kids is going to demand some time. I can’t say this enough, but people need to remember how company’s treated their employees during this pandemic and MUFG has set an incredible example.

Cons

It feels like trying to steer the titanic some times. You will encounter a lot of red tape and implementing change is always met with resistance. There are a lot of cost saving initiatives going on right now which has done a number on team’s morale.
