There is no meritocracy in promotions. Management promotes incompetent and oftentimes HR-reportable friends, resulting in high turnover of junior employees. The line between ex-pats and local hires is apparent, with upper management prioritizing the ex-pats. The current Head of JCB Americas speaks little to no English and cannot communicate with his own employees. Furthermore, the rotations are so frequent that it gives ex- pat managers little time to adjust to the environment and make meaningful changes.
