Pros

Flat Structure Advancement not based on age Opportunity to get extra responsibility if you ask for it Work with very smart people Strong brand

Cons

Networking and politics play very large role in promotions Base package low as profit sharing usually good (but in the bad years...) Can be some manipulation happening that you are not aware of Under AD level is sometimes hard to get noticed

Pros

Macquarie is a place full of the spirit of enterprenure and talent. Everybody is very driven to success and supportive to each other.

Cons

Most of the employees in corporate finance are divided according to separate sector. Which is a good way to structure the staffing but sometimes it will result in the missing of some opportunity

Pros

- great career management - if you work hard and get results, you will be rewarded - opportunities for advancement exist, if you want to take them - good profit share

Cons

-runs very lean, many teams are under-resourced as a matter of course -can be difficult to manage very large work loads -internal communication could be better
