Nice people, lack of deals

Pros

Very nice people to work with. They are all very smart and accomplished people and love their finance. However, it's not to the extent of arrogance as they are all laid back as well. Nice culture.

Cons

During the period I was there, there weren't many deals that went on, so a lot of the time was spent pitching, rather than live deals.

Excellent opportunities for advancement Competitive pay Great employee benefits program (discount gym memberships, restaurants etc) Excellent training (initial and ongoing) Great name to have on your resume Great team oriented environment

Cons

The hours can be long Very high expectations placed on employees Very competitive environment (only a negative if you're lazy)

- laidback atmosphere - flat corporate structure - senior people show respect towards junior people - plenty of vacation days - compensation is above average when times are good

Cons

- compensation way below average when times are bad - doesn't have the reputation of a great advisory shop - if you think you'll be doing PE deals here, think again
