Pros

-Guild education benefits -kind coworkers -ability to work from home -higher end of compensation compared to the industry

Cons

-worker well-being is not a priority to management. -teams down members are expected to step in for months of coverage-with no extra pay, just an expectation to work 70-80 hour weeks to cover -no ability for growth. People can remain assistants for 5-6 years with minimal raises. There’s a bottle neck for growth opportunities and they’ve been handed to external candidates recently -no lateral moves, you can be stuck on a brand or category for years despite raising interest in moving. No the same growth opportunities as when I joined and people were promoted every 2 years - you are at the mercy of the management on your team

Pros

Used to be fun, filled with like minded creative individuals. Fun events and the opportunity to give back through volunteering.

Cons

Everything is all about how many credit cards you or your team has opened. You can be a fantastic manager or associate, customers love you, hundred of thousands in sales per year but if you aren't opening 2 credit cards every 8 hour shift you are underperforming. Senior management is filled with adults who act like they are in high school and roam around in "mean girl" style groups (that's if they are on the floor. half the time they are in their office offering no support whatsoever) Absolutely no consideration for your time, or even your personal time. Consistently texting, calling, emailing on your days off and breaks and when you leave work. No room for growth, each year they eliminate more and more positions essentially halting growth. No education opportunities, management expects you to know everything and be the best but take absolutely no time to train or teach, they don't even offer suggestion or brainstorm with you on solutions to problems. Its very much a "that's not my problem" type of environment.

Pros

Work life balance is taken seriously. Great people, very dedicated. Lots of community work opportunities and fund raising.

Cons

Used to be a great place, things have gone down hill in recent years. Not much room for advancement unless you’re the same ethnicity as the CTO. Sr management doesn’t like to be challenged. Lots of infighting and silos. CTO wants to offshore most jobs to reduce cost. This has resulted in low quality of tech deliverables and security vulnerabilities.
