Great company and work enviroment with some caveats

Pros

Easily one of the best companies out there. They provide their employees with all the tools to succeed. They just moved to a new building that is simply amazing. It truly shows how much they care about their employees. Fun, laid back work environment where you feel like your own boss. Great benefits and lots of vacation time (20 days + 1 free day for birthday)

Cons

Low pay under national and local average for a Web Developer. $50k/year after 3 years here. National average is $66k, local average is $69k based off Glassdoor. It's even more from other sources such as Indeed ($77k average for local). It would take about 10 years with the company based off their pay increase each year before reaching the national average. No 401k Match

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you love the company and the new space! With regards to developer pay scale, we have 2 main development teams...our client facing Creative Dev team and our internal R&D Dev team. Our Creative Developers generally start with little or no experience and learn/train on the job taking care of mainly front-end client requests. The top end of the pay scale for this team is generally 60-70k. For those developers that wish to advance beyond that we recommend working toward becoming a Software Engineer on our R&D team where the top end of the pay scale is well over 100K. It's our goal to harvest our R&D developers (Software Engineers) out of our Creative Dev team as we've found hiring from within is always preferred! Lastly, our 401K program is very new and we intend to include a company contribution in the future.

Pros

I think Madwire does a great job at pushing people to be better and creating an environment where people want to be the best they can. The projects we work on are very ambitious and provide ample opportunities to fail and succeed - both necessary for growth. I like how there is always something new to do or to improve, and that management and other employees are open to new ideas. Overall, I think it's a great culture with a lot of talented and nice people.

Cons

The restrooms can be crowded sometimes
