Pros

Maesa is not for everyone, but if you are a smart talented roll up your sleeves beauty lover wanting an amazing education and growth opportunity on how to start and incubate new beauty brands, Maesa is a great place.

Cons

The company is growing and evolving quickly, so it naturally creates a bit of organized chaos. Again, it is not an environment for everyone, but if you want to be a beauty entrepreneur, Maesa is a great school.

Pros

Fun to work in beauty, very fast paced environment -no day is the same. There is a certain camaraderie amongst employees - departments are understaffed and work loads are often quite heavy. You can commiserate with your colleagues and make some friends. With the turnover as high as it is, you will often absorb the role of someone who left without any compensation and it can take months to fill the position, if they fill it at all. As stated in some other reviews, the vacation/PTO policy is great - however, most managers will not give you the actual time off to use your days. The vacation policy was improved last year in an attempt to retain employees.

Cons

Unprofessional and extremely abusive behavior from upper management, specifically the CEO. No person should have to experience the behavior I witnessed in my time at Maesa. The verbal abuse from upper management is unacceptable and should not be tolerated, regardless of your title. The turnover speaks for itself. Be wary of the reviews on this site - MANY are fake.
