      Get in the right IT group, and you're golden - choose carefully!

      Pros

      Great pay & benefits. Lots & lots & lots of projects to work on, (in IT). If you're in the right group, you can find some extremely talented and collaborative people who'll make your job easier, and push you to do more than you thought you could.

      Cons

      CIO isn't a team-builder. He encourages his direct reports to work directly for their goals, irrespective of larger IT goals or collaboration. My VP works differently within his group, but he's definitely the exception as the other VPs & Sr. Directors all pit their own groups against one-another, and certainly don't collaborate outwards.
