Unorganized and deceptive make the experience of an MFLC very frustrating.

None- other companies that provide MFLC's to military bases have higher standards, better training, competitive pay (comparable to what the market pays for education and experience of a licensed counselor)

Cons

Very, very deceptive toward employees. Magellan will say one thing, after hire and commitment they pull the rug out from under you- with no remorse. Magellan doesn't care about the welfare of military families in the least, as evidenced by management practices. The people that contract with them will never know due to deception. They are all about money- that goes to the top, a lot like Walmart.

Company give a very generous PTO and encourages staff to use it to its fullest advantage, no carry over of PTO, enriched insurance benefits, telecommuting encouraged in many areas of the company.

Cons

Too many roadblocks and difficult to get anything accomplished. Decisions are all made at the upper level and can take many weeks to get something very simple approved. New phone system was installed three months ago and is still not being utilized because of politics.

Teamwork is very important as well as learning more of the services the company provided and the opportunity to learn more in order to advance within the company.

Cons

Loud noises sometimes acquired by co-workers not realizing they were in a restricted area; poor apparel for a professional environment and of course the day I left the company.
