Pros

Transformational vision and product. Constantly feel what I'm doing will change the way people interact with computer for the next decades to come. A lot of super intelligent but humble people here. Great career outlook for the emerging AR industry. Compensation is competitive to any of the top paying companies in the bay area. Also my manager is awesome!!!!!

Cons

I have been here for half a year. Heard about political struggles half years ago and people leaving because of that. But everything is very stable now! And we are entering a really exciting phase of product development! It is difficult to communcate across multiple sites located in different time zone.

Pros

- We are marching towards incredibly ambitious goals on all fronts (software, hardware, market, etc). - Here, you get to work with super talented people to push the boundaries of the state-of-the-art, and make it all into a product.

Cons

- Talented people who has accomplished great deals internally keep leaving the company. It's a trend that slows things down and makes project riskier in terms of team morale and milestone schedules. - Some internal teams are still not up to par for their tasks. Not all of them are on the critical path, but without adequate support it does impacts product schedule. - A few individuals are toxic for culture, creating pockets of highly dysfunctional collaboration.

Pros

The people here are smart. Really smart. At the same time, 99% are down to earth. It is easy to get excited about what we are doing as a company. You will learn. A lot. You are given what you need to succeed. Everyone is expected to contribute. The company is set to do some transformational things, and every person contributes to that. If you see a gap that needs filling, you can fill it. I can honestly say that I look forward to going to work and working with my colleagues. Awesome benefits

Cons

A very small number of employees are disillusioned (because they've been here relatively long) and express that as pessimism about everything. There are people that have been around since the "R&D days" that are now having to work with people focused on commercializing, and there can be some tension between the two. The company is growing - "quickly" is an understatement. This means that there is limited physical room to work, but that will change with the opening of the new HQ in Plantation. It also means that the organization is faced with organizational growing pains and there are a lot of moving parts which can be disorienting to those expecting a static, large company structure. It's a pre-product startup, and compensation sort of reflects that even through the company has raised a TON of money.
