      Do Not Recommend Long Term More of a Start Up Opportunity for Grads/Low Experience

      Pros

      One of, if not, the largest medical company in Maine so it's good to have a foot in the door here. Hourly PTO is accumulated. Usually there are a lot of openings throughout the organization so it is easy to transfer offices as an internal employee.

      Cons

      I have worked for MainHealth for a total of 5 years, both full-time and part-time. Common themes include: low pay rate (countless amount of employees of all levels leaving to rival companies), no regards for lower level employee's thoughts and concerns (most of the time it is "higher up" or managers making decisions and if you are not in agreement you are targeted), policy changes given within one weeks notice, corporate enforces the importance of patient satisfaction not necessarily quality of work more volume and never employee satisfaction. No team-building. No appreciation (occasionally you will get a free jeans day or maybe a brownie for some holiday). Regional managers (so there is not always a single manager for one office. You manager may be assigned 2-3 other offices so they will not be there constantly). Hard to advance if you are not in the inner circle of management.
