Pros

they have decent health benefits

Cons

No advancement and unwilling to hire people from other departments. HR department is a joke at the Belfast area, the HR department told me they dont even have a computer when i had a question about me signing up for benefits.

Pros

Remote work and health insurance,

Cons

Lots of red tape and bureaucracy - my VP couldn't even make a decision without going to the CIO. Teams and projects are overly micro-managed and are asked to produce work in unreasonable timeframes, always with the caveat of "it's healthcare, there's always an emergency." Too many middle managers - you could do without the whole line of IT VPs and instead have Senior Directors who report to the CIO. Not a lot of forward progression for growth - lots of nepotism exists both familial and friends of friends. Hard to get promoted when they don't focus on the future and what the needs will be down the line.
