Pros

The platform that the startup is developing is very ambitious - it is not just another offering in the marketplace. It is a whole new technology to expose demand in DG. This nature to innovate cuts across the engineering disciplines. The people are all friendly and extremely competant. The retention is very good. The culture is constructive, positive - can-do. The leadership respects the team and gives engineers and technicians a lot of responsibility.

Cons

Very serious... People joke around, but the open office can be quiet. Still a start-up. The culture and environment are changing as the company currently grows from a very small start-up to product.

Pros

Highly intelligent and talented engineers. Excellent, no nonsense and no frills leadership. Most well planned product and company roadmap so far in my career. Opportunities (sometimes required) to work on subjects outside of one's expertise. Well funded company with supportive management/leadership. This company is about nuts and bolts, not bells and whistles. Flexible schedules.

Cons

Small company which is rapidly growing - fast paced and sometimes work hours can be long. Adjacent freeway is 101.

Pros

A top-tier team developing worthwhile tech that will actually make a difference. Definitely on the upswing with solid investors. Strategically sound. Transparent and relatively flat organization. Make the Bay Area industrial again!

Cons

All the things that go along with working at a startup. If you can't keep up with the aggressive scheduling and ever changing conditions, stay away.
