Pros

Leadership team cares about team members and shows recognition. The corporate office is present and involved with the hotel and restaurant operations. Strong leadership teams who collaborate with all levels. Very focused on unique hotels and guest service. The guiding principles are very good for a new company.

Cons

Unique properties make it harder to operate and train. Systems and processes continue to improve because it is a new company.

Pros

*All of the hotels brands are unique and with beautifully appointed rooms and exciting restaurants and bars. Most properties are in cities with good cost of living. *Corporate culture is fun. They put a bit emphasis on people through many training and development initiatives. Lots of team building and culture building opportunities offered throughout the year. *They have a results oriented culture. They do not micro manage team members. *Benefits are fantastic with many perks. The PTO policy is above industry average. Most of the properties have an Marriott affiliation so you, your family and friends can stay at Marriott properties at a discounted rate.

Cons

*It's truly a startup so requires team members to have an entrepreneurial spirit and an innovative mindset.

Pros

Great opportunities to clean up prior team member messes - lots of exposure to problem solving. Salary is comparable to the market. Benefits are great. Employer pays portion of medical, dental, and vision. As well as tuition reimbursement and child care assistance. Health app subscription, and other wellness one-offs.

Cons

PTO is Unlimited but it's Pretend Time Off. Do not go anywhere without your laptop and be prepared to spend at least half a day on it while you're on vacation. Unlimited PTO leaves you with no accrued PTO to be paid out when you leave. Company operates on a 90 day rotating schedule with "priorities". This is one metric that your bonus is calculated on. You will get your individual priorities about halfway though the 90 day period. They are still due on time. Leaders will ask for expenses for the following year's budget. You will submit them and around half will get "approved". Around May of the following year, all future travel, conferences, and ancillary expenses will be now disapproved and the company will be on a spending freeze. Around September and October, firings will happen to get the company back under budget for the year. They also get to save on bonus payouts because they're always late to pay those out (by at least one quarter) and you only get it if you're currently employed. I would say to get your full salary in base wages vs accepting any sort of bonus. Holiday gifts are lame and culture outings are always a good time to see if you've made it into the "in" crowd. There is a lot of urgency to get things done and complete projects, but the infrastructure and organization to effectively handle it is lacking.
