The pay is the only good thing about this job.

Cons

Everything else. Management sucks. Nursing staff also sucks. There is a lot of drama. They have no intent to do the reform of prison. They want anyone and everyone to walk and there and treat them like they are scum on the bottom of our shoes. If you treat them with any sort of respect it’s establishing. It’s literally 5 yr olds running a prison and high school drama CONSTANTLY. They will fire you for absolutely anything and everything they can that’s probably why their turn over rate is so high.

Company Culture is one of engagement and positive interaction with the core clients... the students. Hidden gem where most people think of when looking at Job corps is troubled teen / court order delinquents. Not true, it an exciting Vocation and Trade College that provides wonderful opportunities for its great students and staff members

Cons

Its going through a rebuilding process right now (2025). that can be a challenge for some, I think of it as opportunities for change and that is what the current management is doing.
