Pros

There would be many Pros if this were 10 years ago, unfortunately at this point the only pro is that you would have a job with benefits. I will say that during my 9 years with the company, I always dealt with very nice people even from the corporate office in Wisconsin.

Cons

The company used to be about people, but that went by the wayside starting around 2012. Senior leadership is entirely ineffective, and too weak to make tough decisions. Senior leaders have never held anyone accountable for results. There are many great ideas and projects that start at ManpowerGroup, but due to terrible leadership, there is no commitment and poor execution. At one point, we were told the company would not shrink in order to achieve greatness. At this point, the company will cut right to the bone and throw the work to the employees in the field offices.

Pros

Talented people within the company. Strategic employees who have good ideas to share. Collaboration is made easy since most people are helpful and are team focused.

Cons

Leadership doesn't promote job growth. Technology is poor, at best, and leadership is not interested in investing in newer, better technology to set employees up for success. Very limited job growth/opportunities for advancement. The company doesn't care who or what strategies and ideas people share. If you are an individual contributor with a great idea, it's guaranteed to go nowhere.

Pros

Ability to work remotely. Small internal departments.

Cons

I’ve personally witnessed racist actions by upper management. Once you report an incident to HR you are treated adversely. The company constantly talks about how “ethical” they are. However, this is far from the truth. There is NO upward mobility. Which is unfortunate because if you have a manager that doesn’t like you. It will be literally impossible to promote or move into another role.

I appreciate the honest feedback but am disappointed to hear about your experience. One of our core values involves safeguarding our people and providing a supportive environment right up to senior management, so it is concerning to read about this. We strongly believe that our business is stronger and more resilient when everyone is able to make an effective contribution in the workplace and achieve their potential. This is reflected in the Integration and Inclusion pillar of our Sustainability Plan and our increased efforts to foster an inclusive workplace. I would welcome the opportunity to investigate your situation fully and kindly ask that you email me via contactus@manpower.co.uk in order to do so.
