Pros

Paid time off is generous. Get to learn what an awful job is like.

Cons

I worked at Mapfre as my first job after graduating college. The pay is laughable considering they were requiring a bachelor's degree for the job at the time. Workday consists of taking random phone calls from unhappy customers back to back all day. Customers will generally tell you about how much they hate you, the company, and the car insurance industry for ~20 minutes before they hang up and your phone rings again. Can be closer 40+ minutes for customers who are senile or dont speak english (this is common). If you want to get paid next to nothing to be an overworked punching bag for a greedy car insurance company then this is the job for you. Had I not found a better paying job with enjoyable work then I would probably have offed myself. To those currently still working here: stop fantasizing about quitting and just do it - the grass really is greener on the other side.

Pros

OK benefits OK pay Clean building Plenty of parking OK tuition reimbursement Great feedback on reviews

Cons

Growth opportunity - it's all who you know Pay grades are embarrassing and do not even cover increase of medical, not to mention cost of living. I took home more 10 years ago than I do now. Too much documentation , instead of working Not all departments are created equally Mapfre pays minimal, takes advantage of location, same job in Worcester is at least 10,000 more Technology is very poor
